Kohli comes up with an epic tweet to praise ‘Big B’ on receiving Dada Saheb Phalke Award

Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan once again proved that he is a man for the society. He has not only extended his fruitful contributions to the film industry but has also pledged to donate money to charity projects.

Also, he is quite often praised for his immense contributions to social causes. This goes to show why Amitabh Bachchan is loved and admired by many. He said that he previously helped over 350 farmers from Maharashtra by paying off their loans.

Meanwhile, Indian captain Virat Kohli took to Twitter to laud superstar and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan for being conferred with the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award. Amitabh Bachchan received the award on Sunday (December 29) at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi by President of India Ram Nath Kovind for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema for decades. Amitabh Bachchan also became the 50th recipient of the iconic award.

“Congratulations Amitabh Bachchan ji on being conferred the prestigious #DadaSahebPhalkeAward. Through your contribution to Indian cinema, you have been and still continue to be an inspiration to many. #GreatestofAllTime,” Virat Kohli’s caption read.

Big B is also well-known for his philanthropy. He had contributed Rs 51 lakh towards Chief Minister Relief Fund in the aftermath of severe floods in Bihar. He also donated his belongings to Flood-hit Kerala victims. The recognised actor donated clothes, shoes and accessories for the sufferers of the calamity. A source close to the development has opened up that Amitabh Bachchan has sent a big batch of his personal belongings to the relief cause.

The source revealed, “Mr Bachchan has sent six cartons of his personal clothing, that includes around 80 jackets, 25 pants, 20 shirts and lots of scarves. The actor has also donated around 40 pairs of shoes.”

Bollywood Megastar also refused to endorse in soft drink brands after he confronted with a schoolgirl who asked him why he promotes useless thing that her school teacher had called as “poison”. After this, he had also requested other celebrities to understand the brand thoroughly before endorsing them.
