Congress leader Pradeep Majhi says Keep petrol ready to set everything on fire

A shocking video went viral on Social media in which Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Nabarangpur district, Odisha and former MP Pradeep Majhi can be seen directing his party workers to go on a rampage and set everything on fire. He can be heard asking his party workers to keep petrol and diesel ready and wait for instruction. Congress leader is trying to instigate protesters for the violence.

“Keep petrol and diesel ready. The moment you get an order set everything on fire. We’ll see what happens next,” Majhi was captured on camera while speaking with someone over the phone in his native Odia language.

After being caught red-handed, Odisha police have registered a case against Pradeep Majhi for instigating violence during the 12-hour ‘Bandh’. Congress has been staging 12-hour shutdown in Nabarangpur today protesting ‘police inaction’ in connection with the alleged gang rape and murder of a minor girl in Kosagumuda Police Station area of the district on December 14.

According to a report by Odisha TV, a protest was being performed by Majhi near Kaunriaguda Chhak in the morning when the Additional SP of Nabarangpur reached the spot and asked him to withdraw. Later on, they both exchanged words. As a result, Majhi subsequently phoned his party cadres and told them to keep petrol and diesel ready.

It is believed that some agitators set a vehicle on fire near Ambedkar Chakk in Nabarangpur Town. Incident was suspected to have taken place just after Majhi’s call.

Later, speaking with OTV, the congress leader confessed that he had told his party workers to set everything on fire. “I don’t believe in democracy anymore. Women and girl children are being raped during BJD government rule and I cannot keep mum. First a minor girl in Kundali was gang raped by jawans. Now, another minor girl was gang raped and murdered in Nabarangpur,” said Pradip Majhi.
