Addressing the ‘Bharat Bachao’ rally, Rahul Gandhi shouted, “I am not Rahul Savarkar, will never apologize”

Today, a massive rally called “Bharat Bachao” was held at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan in which Congress senior leaders like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra addressed the crowd. A large number of people came to attend the rally.

Attacking on the Modi government, Rahul Gandhi accused the Prime Minister of burning the northeastern states and West Bengal over the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act, that was passed by both houses and President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday gave his assent to the bill.

Addressing the ‘Bharat Bachao’ rally at Ramlila ground in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi said, “Yesterday in Parliament, the BJP people asked me to apologize, but I want to tell them that I am not Rahul Savarkar, I won’t apologize. I won’t apologize for speaking the truth.”

BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao hit out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday.

GVL Narasimha Rao said, “Rahul Jinnah instead of Rahul Gandhi is a more appropriate name for him.”

After Rahul Gandhi’s statement, GVL Narasimha Rao took to Twitter to attack Rahul Gandhi, “The more appropriate name for you Rahul Gandhi is RAHUL JINNAH. Your Muslim appeasement politics and mindset makes you a worthy legatee of Mohammad Ali Jinnah, not Savarkar. #RahulJinnah,”

Addressing the gathering, Rahul Gandhi said, “You elected him to make the country stronger, but he didn’t work on that. Now our GDP is at 4 percent, farmers are committing suicides. I asked in Parliament how many farmers committed suicide and they said they don’t know. They know only one thing and that is to divide the country,”

BJP people say Congress organized this rally to “showcase their sufferings”.

In parliament, BJP members took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his “Rape in India” remark and asked him to apologize.
