“What was going on in my mind while I raped?” Rapist speaks on camera

While the rape case of Hyderabad has shaken the country, A man raped and murdered a woman and his daughter in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh. The rape accused attacked both the women and daughter while they were sleeping. 

What goes in the head of a rapist? This has been an unanswered question for all general public, police, and judges. In a rare video confession, a rape accused who murdered three members of a family has told the police how he brutally raped a woman and her 10-year-old daughter and then killed the woman, her husband, and their son. The incident took place on November 24 in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. 

The accused identified as Naseeruddin was arrested on Monday. According to police, the man is not mentally stable and he is a sex maniac. The accused is remotely related to the victims and lives around her. The police apprehended him after tracking his mobile location.

Accused Naseeruddin says, “I used to go to see the woman frequently, I was noticing her for a long time. Later, I came to know that the family is vulnerable in taking proper safety measures and so entering her house was not difficult. So, I hatched a plan accordingly”.

On the fateful night, the accused consumed a stimulating drug before heading towards the victim’s home. He says when he reached the victims’ home, he found the lane deserted. Someone had switched on a bulb outside their home. He removed the bulb from its holder and headed towards the main door of the target’s home.

He revealed in a video that a bamboo stick fell on the ground when he pushed the door open. hearing the sound, victim’s husband, 35, woke up but was immediately hit by the accused.

“I hit him with a brick that I had picked up from outside. I hit him twice. He fell from the bed onto the ground. The woman got up hearing the sound. I hit her too. I saw a baby sleeping in between. I hit him. I hit everyone I saw,” Nasiruddin tells police in the video.

after killing two victims, Nasiruddin says he dragged the woman and raped her. “She was still moving when I did it I got bloodstains on my shirt near the shoulder as she was shaking her hands and body. When I was going out, I saw the stain and came back to clean it,” he tells the police.

When police asked him why he attacked the 10-year-old girl, Nasiruddin said, “She got up asking her mother to give her water. I told her to sleep back quietly. She asked me ‘who are you?’ and started shouting ‘thief, thief, momma, there is a thief in our home’. I hit her with the brick that I had kept on the bed. Then I did the same to her.”

The video confession has come at a time when people are expressing their fury and the nation is debating how to make it safer for women in the wake of gangrape and murder of a Hyderabad veterinarian. She was raped, murdered and burnt in Hyderabad last week. Protests are being held in various parts of the country demanding severest punishment to the culprits.
