Surendra pal is a popular television actor. He is best remembered for his role as Dronacharya in the epic television show Mahabharat. The role of Dronacharya gave him a different identity. No one can forget his role as Tamraj Kilvish played in the popular television show “Shaktimaan”. TV serial ‘Shaktimaan’ was the most famous show of the 90s. From children to old ones, everyone used to watch this show. Surendra pal played a strong role as its villain ‘Kilvish’. A famous dialogue of ‘Kilvish’, ‘Andhera Kayam Rahe’ used to be carried on the tongue of children.

However, Tamraj Kilvish has disappeared after the show was over. Surendra has worked in many languages besides Hindi. Surendra has a great affection for Rajasthan. The  Surendra was last seen in the film ‘Rangoon’. Surendra is still active in TV serials and films. Apart from this, he has many film projects as well. He did many characters but Tamraj Kilwish’s character is still alive in everyone’s memories.

What is he doing now?

Colors launched its new show “Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush”, which is a mythological drama based on the epic Ramayana. The veteran actor Surendra Pal is being cast for this show. According to sources, he will play the role of King Dashrath, one of the notable characters of Ramayana. The actor is expected to begin to shoot very soon. He is also going to play a role in a web series on Amazon in Farhan Akhtar show, in which he will play the role of King. The show will be shown only on mobile that is why it is called a web series.

He was born in 1953 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.  Surendra has appeared in over 25 serials and over 40 films. He started his acting career in the year 1981 with Shama. Over the years he has worked in various movies like Manzil Manzil (1984), Grahasthi (1984), Ek Naya Rishta (1988), Elaan-E-Jung (1989), Khuda Gawah (1992), Veergati (1995), Bardaasht (2004), Lakshya (2004), Sehar (2005), Jodhaa Akbar (2008), Stand By (2011), Airlift (2016) and Rangoon (2017). In the year 2017, Pal started a production company to produce and direct Bhojpuri films.

Talking about the role of Kilvish, Surendra once told that Mukesh Khanna thought that Amrish Puri is the only person who can do this role. Then Surendra said that if you give a chance to someone else then only you will know who can do or who can not. After this Mukesh Khanna told Surendra to do this role and show, and this way Surendra got this role. He had made a very shocking disclosure that he had been in a dark house for about 15 days for this role. Not only this, He has changed Kilvish’s dress and his dialogues, after which people liked him very much.
