Chennai woman forgets Gold worth Rs 6 lakh, Auto Driver returns it to her- let’s praise him

An Auto-driver proved that he is a man of integrity. After when he spotted valuables worth Rs 6 lakhs, he didn’t do what everyone probably imagined he would. He set an example of honesty by returning it to the owner.

Yes, the auto-rickshaw driver had returned a bag that contained around 25 sovereigns of gold jewellery in Saligramam district, according to a report in the Times of India.

Vijayalakshmi, a resident of Kamarajar Street, Teynampet was expected to attend a wedding in Saligramam. As per the police, she felt that it was not safe to wear gold jewels especially while travelling and taking this piece of advice, she decided to keep all her valuables inside her bag.

At 6 pm, she boarded the auto of Udayakumar from Ramanathan Street, T Nagar in Chennai. Upon reaching the destination, she deboarded the vehicle and forgot to take her bag. Vijayalakshmi then alerted the police control room and reported the issue immediately. She hadn’t booked the auto through any mobile app, so it was tough to get the contact details.
