This 15-yr-old boy becomes youngest Indian to win gold medal in International Mathematics Olympiad

There is no hiding from the fact that Indian students are the finest minds and they have the cutting edge to outsmart other country students. It was Pranjal Srivastava’s turn to make the headlines as he became the youngest Indian ever to win a gold medal at the International Mathematics Olympiad.

Hailing from Bengaluru, Pranjal Srivastava was cut above the rest of the participants in one of the world’s toughest competitions. This was after 7 years that India bagged a gold medal in the iconic Maths Olympiad which was held in the United Kingdom in 2019.

Pranjal who is a student of National Public School, Koramangala and his achievement was appreciated by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which praised his victory in a couple of tweets previously this month.

The International Mathematics Olympiad which was described “as the biggest and toughest of competitions across the world” by CBSE had challenging participants from 210 countries and more than 600 participants.

Pranjal took part in IMO 2019 with 5 other team members and essayed a relative ranking quotient of 97.26%.
