Taking other’s objects or property without their permission is called ‘Stealing’. In today’s world, we hear a lot of stories of thieves stealing gold, money, wallet, bike, phone etc. Usually, items are stolen from the jewellery store, medical shop, shopping complex and so on.
However, in a strange turn of events, video footage from a robbery in a Brazilian medical store started doing the rounds on social media after it showed one of the robbers refusing to take money from an elderly woman customer, and giving a kiss on her head before escaping the spot.
The footage captured by a camera in the store showed 2 men barging into the store hiding their faces by wearing helmets and threatening the staff to hand over money to them. The footage shows one robber talking to the woman while his partner snatched cash from the store’s register.
A store employee can be seen sitting on the floor with his hands on the back of his head.
The frightened woman facing the robber is seen talking to the thief before the armed man taps her on the shoulder in an attempt to calm her down. Then he planted a kiss on her forehead.
The incident happened in the city of Amarante in Brazil. In an interview with Brazilian media outlet G1, store owner Samuel Almeida added that the men sneaked in the store and asked his employee to give them all the money in the register.
He echoed that the woman customer then approached one of the robbers and demanded that he take her cash. Instead, he kissed her and said, “No, ma’am, you can be quiet, I don’t want your money.”
As per the local reports, the robbers stole around $240 in cash and other items before escaping the spot.
