PM Modi gives gift to Haryana for the first time- Haryana to get Airport after Independence

In good news, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had launched the UDAN regional connectivity scheme that will allow visitors to jet off from Hisar to Chandigarh for just Rs 1,674 and that too in a travel time of 45 minutes.

Manohar Lal Khattar took the maiden flight in a 7-seated plane from Hisar to Haryana capital Chandigarh.

Before launching the flight, Khattar added with the completion of some expansion work in Integrated Aviation Hub in Hisar within 2 months, finally, an 18-seater plane would start plying.

He added that the launch of the flight was an integral part of the Centre’s UDAN, or ‘Ude Desh ka Har Nagarik’ scheme, building efficient regional air connectivity.

Accompanied by state Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu and the state BJP chief Subhash Barala, Khattar at the same, flagged off the inaugural flight.

He added that very soon flights from Hisar to Jaipur, Delhi, Jammu and Dehradun would be launched.

The Chief Minister also said that Air Shuttle Services and Flying Training Organisation is also being established at THE Hisar airport by SpiceJet for the training of at least 100 cadet pilots per year initially.

At least 4 meritorious girls with state domicile will get 50% fee concession for the whole training and 10% students with domicile will get 50% waiver on tuition fee.

SpiceJet has committed to placement of 70 per cent pilot trainees, a government spokesperson told news agency IANS.

It is worth mentioning that Integrated Aviation Hub at Hisar is a mega project of the state government which is being executed under the Civil Aviation Department in a phased manner.
