Not many candidates take competitive exams like UPSC year after year but there are some who do not give up even after multiple attempts because they want to clear the examination.
Well, it takes a lot of patience and dedication to pull off this achievement and a couple in Bilaspur, Chattisgarh unlocked the greatest achievement in their lifetime.
After years of hard work, grit, determination and persistence, they topped the Chattisgarh Public Service Commission examination merit list.
Today, they are husband and wife now. Anubhav Singh and his wife Vibha Singh came first and second respectively in the examination.
When Anubhav spoke to news agency ANI, he was extremely delighted and said that the previous failed attempts never let them down and instead it inspired them to work harder.
He said, “It is difficult to express how happy we feel today. I have been waiting for this moment all my life. After so many unsuccessful attempts, I still believed that we both would clear the examination.”
Quite interestingly, the power couple had been preparing for the very same exam for the past 11 years. They actually met each other in 2008 through a study group and 6 years later in 2014, they got married.
Talking about their relationship Anubhav added “We used to study together. Even when we used to sit together to chat, it would turn into a study session.”
Vibha went on to share her husband’s emotions and talked about being sure of cracking the examination. She said, “I knew we both would get selected, but did not fathom that we would top the exam.”
For the past 7 years, Vibha had been plying her trade as the Assistant Development Officer (ADO) in the Department Of Panchayat and Rural Development. She balanced her studies and work together for all these busy years.
