Chandela and Deepak win Gold at Shooting World Cup, let’s congratulate them

It was yet another good news for India as professional shooters made the whole nation proud by clinching gold medal in the 10m air rifle mixed team event. Let’s take a moment to congratulate both of them for putting on a candid show at the Shooting World Cup.

Remember the names! Apurvi Chandela and Deepak Kumar who pulled off a sensational victory in the final. The duo were in sensational form throughout the tournament and they outsmarted China’s Yang Qian and Yu Haonan 16-6 in the final to seal the big deal.

After easily getting through round 1 of qualification, Apurvi and Deepak topped the board after 20 individual shots in round 2, featuring the top eight teams from the previous round. They both showed that they are cut above the rest in terms of shooting accuracy.

Their total of 419.1 points was good enough to give them a direct entry into the gold medal match where they took on the Chinese pair who had come in second in the qualification scenario.
