Yes! A man in Indonesia has married both his girlfriends at the same time as he didn’t want to hurt either of them according to Vice Indonesia.
The video of the incident spread like wildfire on Facebook, where an Indonesian groom, whose name remains unidentified can be seen marrying 2 girls, each sitting next to him. The ceremony happened in Airtarap, Kalimantan on August 17.

As per the Vice Media reports, the man paid the brides’ families a huge amount as dowry. It is a common practice in Indonesia, for the groom to pay a dowry to the bride’s family. It is said to be proof that the groom will be able to take care of the bride.
Also, polygamy is not a very new concept in Indonesia and according to the new laws, a man can have as many as four wives as long as he is able to take care of them and offer them basic necessities.
As per local media reports, the two women get along with each other and certainly no issues with this marriage. The man also told local reporters that he took such a srange decision because he couldn’t bear the thought of having to hurt either one of his girlfriends.
