Netizens pay massive tribute to jawan who died for the nation

Indian army soldier Arif Pathan was martyred in heavy fire and shelling against Pakistan along the LOC in Jammu & Kashmir. He is only 24 years old yet he sacrificed his life in order to protect his motherland. RIP Braveheart!

Hailing from Vadodara, Arif Pathan served the Indian army with tonnes of pride for the last four years. Let’s take a moment and salute him for his contribution to the Indian army.

After his demise, loud chants of ‘Hindustan zindabad’ and ‘Bharat Maata ki jai’ echoed through the corridors of Harni airport when the mortal remains of martyred Army man Arif Pathan arrived the city on Tuesday evening.

Pathan was martyred in shelling by Pakistani army at Sunderbani sector of Jammu & Kashmir on Monday morning.

Meanwhile, Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan took to his official Twitter handle to pay his tribute to young army jawan who died protecting the nation.

“Vadodara’s Arif Pathan, a young soldier in the Indian Army was martyred in a ceasefire violation by Pakistani forces along the LoC in J&K. He was serving army for the last 4 years. Salute to the bravery of armed forces,” Yusuf Pathan wrote.

Soon as the news spread about Pathan’s body having been brought to his home city, scores of citizens arrived at airport to pay their last respects and offer condolences to his family. Police switched for a tight ring of security around the airport.

It has been learnt that Pathan’s body was flown to the city in a private airline. Garlands were placed on the coffin of the martyr and Indian Army did a Guard of Honour for the brave soldier.

The ceremony was organized by army station commander in Vadodara. Pathan’s family members came to the airport and received the body.

A Bharatiya soldier never dies. He may be martyred but still lives perennially in the hearts and memory of all Indians.
