White guy becomes Desi, sells Bhelpuri on London street, Indians are loving it!

One of the big issues Indians face in foreign countries is the food. It is not about the quality of food but it should satisfy their tastebuds when they go for a complete meal.

In case if you are in England, there’s a guy who can serve you delicious bhelpuri. Angus Denoon who is a chef by profession can frequently be seen on the streets of England selling Kolkata’s all-time favourite snack – jhalmuri, and bhelpuri.

Indians know what Bhelpuri is! It is not just a snack but it is an emotion to all the travellers across the country. Bhelpuri is crispy, sweet, tangy and a spicy mixture of puffed rice blended with sev, onions, tomatoes.

A video of Denoon making and serving bhel spread like wildfire on social media. Denoon can be seen freshly preparing the Bhel deftly and selling it to people outside The Oval in London.

The person making the video, was quite surprised by what they actually saw and then asked the man a couple of questions.

Denoon explained that he learnt the art of making jhalmuri in India, Kolkata. “I learned from the masters,” he said.

Well, a typical English guy making pizza is acceptable but imagine him making and selling bhelpuri like a pro. This isn’t something we see every day.
