Prakash Raj, who contested the 2019 general elections as an Independent candidate from Bengaluru central might have conceded a defeat but the actor has promised to keep fighting for a ‘secular India’.

“a SOLID SLAP on my face ..as More ABUSE..TROLL..and HUMILIATION come my way..I WILL STAND MY GROUND ..My RESOLVE to FIGHT for SECULAR INDIA will continue..A TOUGH JOURNEY AHEAD HAS JUST BEGUN ..THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO WERE WITH ME IN THIS JOURNEY. …. JAI HIND,” Prakash Raj tweeted.

Despite the setback, his fans showed relentless support and wished him good luck next time. Here is how people reacted on Social media:

“Sir. We will continue to question. I am very happy that you stood ground. We are with you,” one guy wrote.

“We appreciate your love for this nation,” the other one wrote.

“Despite all odds against you and fanatical onslaughts on your every statement, your grit and determination on what you believe is a rare quality. Hope many would follow you in charting a path that helps and strengthens democracy in its long run.”

“It takes great strength and determination to stand against the rules.
You are a genuine person with a reason.
All the best. Keep just asking.
The path you chose is difficult but victory is somewhere around.”

“Let it be… Whatever results are… But I personally believe that you are a true Indian. A gentle person… Yess No doubt.. It seems just like that.. But in fact it was on the face of secular India… But the main reason is that there was no any powerful or acceptable single leader in the all opposition parties.. As I felt after the results.. But yess the fight against communilism will be continuing 👍👍🙏🙏”

“Its a part of election. You are still a sensible voice for India.Don’t say its a solid slap. Someone is going to win, others are going to loose, but you have started a tough journey, keep going.. Good Luck for next time.”
