Exit polls were paid and EVMs have been tampered with by Modi: Says AAP leader

AAP leader Sanjay Singh tweeted very recently adding that exit polls were paid and Electronic Voting Machines have been tampered by BJP. After his tweet, West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee expressed her opinion about it.

Exit poll numbers may have inspired Narendra Modi supporters across the nation. But Mamata Banerjee reasonably wasn’t really amused. Mamata Banerjee took to her official Twitter handle to say she did not “trust exit poll gossip”.

“I don’t trust exit poll gossip. The game plan is to manipulate or replace thousands of EVMs through this gossip. I appeal to all Opposition parties to be united, strong and bold. We will fight this battle together,” Mamata Banerjee tweeted.

Meanwhile, a number of political parties including the BJP complained to the EC about the widespread brutality that happened in West Bengal on the final day of polling.

A certain count of news channels that carried out the exit polls predicted BJP would win the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. India Today-Axis My India exit polls predicted BJP to win in a majority of states including states like Gujarat and Maharashtra at the time of filing this report.

Addresing the media persons outside a polling booth after getting her finger inked in Kolkata, Mamata Banerjee said, “In my state…the way BJP has used central forces to torture… here … I have never seen this…unprecedented.”

Polling in the last phase of the general elections was once again ruined by stray incidents of violence across West Bengal.

South and North Kolkata constituencies saw violence. The BJP candidate from North Kolkata constituency had also alleged that TMC workers threatened their polling agents.
