According to the Global Economic Research Report, Nagpur takes the fifth spot in the list of fastest growing cities in the world in the 2019-35 period.
The report prepared by Oxford Economics is engaged in global forecasting and quantitative analysis, further added that all the top ten fastest-growing cities in the world in 2019-35 will be from India.
Surat tops the list, followed by Agra, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Tirupur, Rajkot, Tiruchirappalli, Chennai, and Vijayawada respectively.
It is also said that 17 of the 20 fastest-growing cities in the world between 2019 and 2035 will be from India.
A report from Oxford Economics, a research house involved in global forecasting and quantitative analysis said, “When future GDP growth rates are compared, the story is mostly very different. In particular, 17 of the 20 fastest-growing cities in the world between 2019 and 2035 will be Indian, with Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai among the strongest performers”.
“By 2035, we project it will be 17% higher, with Chinese cities alone generating more output than all cities in North America or Europe,” the report said.

Gadkari contested 2014 Loksabha election from Nagpur constituency and won. He got the better of Congress leader Vilas Muttemwar by a massive margin of 285,000.
Gadkari’s journey started when he became Minister of Road Transport and Highways in May 2014. Ever since he took charge, he amplified the pace of building roads in India from 2 km/day to 16.5 km/day in his first year and to 21 km/day in the second year and end of 2018 30Km/day.
Besides that, he also reserved an amount of 1 per cent of the total projects awarded in his contract worth ₹2 trillion (US$29 billion) for trees and beautification.

The key theme of this year’s sixth survey was robust technology and innovative eco-system in which Bengaluru emerged as the world leader. The report noted that both Bengaluru and Hyderabad have thriving information technology and start-up culture which has helped them top the rankings.
