Truck driver’s daughter scores 99.5% in Board Exams, becomes overnight sensation

Neha Verma, daughter of a truck driver, couldn’t control her tears soon after Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) announced Class 10 results on its official website. Neha became the topper from Punjab in class 10th board exam by securing 99.54 per cent marks. Let’s take a moment to appreciate her. Her hard work bore fruit.

Neha, a student of Teja Singh Sutantar School at Ludhiana did her parents proud by topping the examination. Her father named Pawan Kumar had no money to pay for her coaching fees.

“Students & teachers of Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana celebrate after Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) declared results of class 10 today. Neha Verma, a student of the school, has emerged as the state board topper scoring 99.54%,” ANI reported.

Soon after the results were announced, Neha spoke to news agency ANI, adding that she never studied under pressure and to her hard work mattered the most and the result was obvious. “I worked hard the entire year. I never studied under pressure, it is my hobby.”

“I never opted for any tuition — neither I required coaching nor did my parents had money to pay for it. They gave my school fee and that was more than enough for me,” she said as quoted by Indian Express.

Neha aspires to become an IPS officer in the future.
