Woman threw Coins into Flight’s Engine for Luck and then something terrible happened

It is 2019 and people still believe in a whole list of blinding superstitions. There are people who are scared of flying and they are ready to do whatever it takes to make them comfortable. Well, there are too many plane engines in the modern world that have become the victims of ‘coin-tossers’ seeking good luck.

They believe that it’s a prayer for ‘safe flight’ but realistically, they just end up in an arrest and this is what happened to this 66-year-old woman who believes in superstitions. She thought throwing coins into the aeroplane’s engine would give her good luck but something terrible had happened.

The woman identified as Yang caused 2-hour time delay to a Tianjin Airlines’ plane after which she was taken into custody at the Hohhot Baita International Airport in Inner Mongolia. The woman threw the coins just before boarding the flight and then she was later retrieved from the tarmac near the engine.

On the contrary, all other 100 passengers on flight GS6681 departing for Chifeng city were moved to a different aircraft.

Tianjin Airlines added in a statement on Tuesday, said the crew member alerted the security at around 7:50 am soon after seeing the woman throwing coins and now that she has been detained for 10 days and chances are there that she could face further punishment.
