Congress leader and candidate Shashi Tharoor picked up an injury on Monday during a religious ritual at a temple in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram. One day later, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman paid a visit to Shashi Tharoor. This gesture proves there is humanity above politics.

Shashi Tharoor is engaged in a tough competition as she is involved in a three-way electoral battle for the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat with former Mizoram Governor K. Rajasekheran of BJP and CPI’s C. Divakaran, a sitting legislator and former state Minister.
Kerala will vote in the third phase- 20 seats on April 23. Kerala is also one of the 22 states and UT’s that will vote in a single phase.
