There have been widespread speculations that Arshi had also made up her mind to take part in a Pakistani reality show ‘Arshi Ka Swayamvar’ for which she was to be paid a whopping Rs 2 crore. Interestingly, she never named this Pakistani channel which chipped in with a big offer for the show.
She drew attention in the year 2015 for her controversial tweet about Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi. “Yes, I had sex with Afridi. Do I need the Indian media’s permission to sleep with someone? It’s my personal life. For me it was love.”
“I respect Mr Afridi a lot. He has done a lot for me. That tweet was a mistake and I should not have addressed him openly about such sensitive issues. Afridi Sahaab ke bahut ehsaan hai mujh par.”
