Amit Shah gives a sharp reply to Rahul Gandhi’s ‘World Theatre Day’ remark on PM Modi

A heated exchange of words broke out between the BJP and the Congress on Wednesday after India scripted history for testing its anti-satellite missile A-SAT. “Our scientists have targeted a live satellite in space 300 km away in low earth orbit. The prefixed target was destroyed by the A SAT in just three minutes,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced today.

In a sensational development for India’s defence capabilities, the nation has successfully shot down a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite, Prime Minister Narendra Modi confirmed the news, adding that India has become the 4th nation in the world to become ‘space power’ after US, Russia and China which can even eliminate the satellites of enemies during war.

According to PM Modi, the Indian missile A-SAT hit a predestined target and the operation is called ‘Mission Shakti’ which even lasted for just 3 minutes. “India has entered its name as an elite space power. An anti-satellite weapon A-SAT successfully targeted a live satellite on a low earth orbit,” PM Modi added in a statement.

Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi reacted to the announcement with a tweet in which he congratulated the DRDO scientists but indirectly took a dig at Prime Minister by wishing him “happy World Theatre Day”.

Seeing Rahul Gandhi’s tweet, the BJP chief slammed Rahul Gandhi for his remarks.

“UPA did not have the courage to back its institutions and people, NDA under PM Modi has shown the conviction to do so,” Amit Shah said.
