In the latest controversy from Tihar Jail located in the Eastern part of Delhi, a mobile video has come to light depicting a gangster cooking inside of his cell and talking to different prisoners. The clip also shows the person filming the high-class facilities which were given inside of his cell.
The Tihar Jail management said a probe has been soon initiated and action will be taken against the relevant people. An investigation will be done to learn how the prisoner got hold of the mobile phone and that too inside the cell.
In the 1.5-minute video clip that surfaced online, a person wearing a blue shirt recorded himself- preparing tea and meals on an induction cooker. Surrounding him, there were three others who were observing the meals that he’s preparing.
He then takes the inmates on a tour. The person shares a selfie with another inmate in a white shirt. These series incidents looked like as if all were living inside a luxurious house.
“Ye mera kamra hai, aur ye mere saamne mere bhai ka,” the person can be heard announcing as he is going inside of his cell that has a wall clock and household things. The final touch of the video ends with the person showing his washroom, which just goes to show that the cell has five-star facilities.
This shocking incident comes amidst a string of controversies surrounding Tihar management. Previously, a magistrate recommended an FIR against jail officials, including the Tihar DG, for allegedly giving support to the Unitech brothers.
