It is certain that there would be at least one or two in school or college with 100% attendance record. Well, others might have also thought about setting the attendance record at least once in their life but due to health deterioration or some other reasons, they fail to turn up.

According to a report by The New Indian Express, after receiving a “certificate for full attendance” by the school when he finished class 12, he then planned to set a new world record for the same.

The report states that Kumar made a strong statement to attend college despite suffering from sickness, bad weather and other reasons.

Talking to The New Indian Express, Vinoth Kumar said “My parents motivated me a lot. They were the ones who told me that I should go to school every day. My father, who is also a teacher, used to drop me at school every day.”

But with this dream to break a record comes a fear of regret for Kumar as he shares his bad experience of missing out trips with friends. “I feel bad when my friends go on trips without me and come back with great stories.”

Vinoth Kumar aims to set a world record by completing 19 years of perfect attendance.
