The Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a juvenile who is known to have tossed the grenade. As per the reports, the suspect identified as Yasir Javaid Bhat was paid Rs 50,000 by terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen for executing the attack.

As reported by ANS, Bhat admitted to interrogators on Friday that an overground worker from the terror group had paid him the money to execute the attack as around 32 people were severely injured in the blast, most of them were bus conductors and drivers. However, it is still unclear whether passengers were affected or not.

The suspect in Kulgam district was arrested from Toll Plaza at Nag rota outside Jammu city when he was trying to flee to the Kashmir Valley. Eyewitness accounts and CCTV footage enabled the cops to set up check posts.

The suspect will turn 16 on March 12 and if his Aadhaar and school records are to be true then according to law and order, Bhat is still a teenager. He is the eldest son of his parents and a class IX student. His father is a painter.

Further probing disclosed Hizb district commander Fayaz Bhat alias Umer in the first place gave the task of conducting the grenade attack to Muzammil at a crowded place in Jammu, however, he failed and after which Muzammil handed over the responsibility to Bhat alias ‘Chhotu’.

The Pulwama terror blast in which over 40 CRPF paramilitary troopers were killed was also executed by a 19-year-old Indian Kashmiri Adil Ahmed Dar who was called as a responsible kid by his parents. He drove an explosives-laden SUV vehicle into one of the CRPF convoys as a major part of the Jaish-e-Mohammed terror blueprint.
