“We’re Fighting For Kashmir Not Against It,” PM Modi condemns attack on Kashmiris

PM Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the Vijay Sankalp rally in Rajasthan’s Tonk district wherein he condemned the recent attacks on Kashmiri students. “Peace in the world is not possible if terror factory continues to go on like this. Today, there is a consensus against terrorism. We are moving ahead with strength at every front,” Modi said.

“our fight is not against Kashmiris,” PM Modi said. “Not just India, the entire world is with you (families). Have faith in soldiers and the government,” he said. PM Modi said, adding that strict action has been taken against ‘separatists’ in J&K, and a “free hand” has been given to the Army.

“Believe in army jawans on the borders, Maa Bhawani blessings and Modi government, all scores will be settled this time,” he added in a statement. “People of Kashmir lined up for donating blood for those injured in firing during the Amarnath Yatra last year. Our fight is against terrorism and against those who are against humanity,” PM Modi said.

He said, adding that people in Kashmir have been suffering from ‘terrorism for the last 4 decades years’ and they want harmony.

National Conference leader Omar Abdullah Saturday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for speaking against terrible attacks of Kashmiris in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack and then he went on to add saying that such unfortunate incidents would not recur.

“Thank you @narendramodi Sahib. Aaj aap ne hamaray dil ki bast keh di (you have conveyed the feelings of our heart),” Omar Abdullah tweeted.

“It’s been a more than a week since the terrible attack in Pulwama & more than a week that Kashmiris have been bearing the brunt of the public anger. Perhaps finally after PM Narendra Modi has spoken these forces targeting Kashmiris will stop in their tracks,” the NC leader said.
