$20 billions to Pakistan, But Saudi wants to invest $100 billions in India: Says Prince

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud arrived in the national capital on February 19 night, a day after finishing his tour of Pakistan and returning back to his home country Riyadh. In a great gesture, Mr. Modi received Mr. Salman at the airport.

“India-Saudi Arabia is one of India’s most valuable strategic partners. Our relations have grown stronger. I welcome Saudi investment in Indian infrastructure,” PM Modi said while addressing the reporters at a press conference along with Mr. Salman.

“We have common goals in the energy and agriculture and we will diversify this spirit to other sectors. We have also diversified to the petrochemical sector in India. Since 2016, we have invested $44 billion in India,” Saudi Crown Prince Salman said they would invest $100 billion in India according to The Hindu.

The significant trip to India is the first time from the Saudi VIP, who is imminent in bringing in aims and strategies to the oil-rich economy which is a primary energy supplier to India.
