Pulwama Blast: Sudha Murthy announces Rs 10 lakh each to families of martyrs

Infosys Foundation Chairperson Sudha Murthy once again proved that she is the mother of donations. The golden lady continued her philanthropic gesture by announcing that Foundation will give 10 lakh each to the families of martyrs who lost their lives in the line of duty in the terrorist attack at Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir on Friday.

No less than 44 CRPF paramilitary troopers lost their lives when a Jaish suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 350 kg of explosives into a CRPF convoy of 70 vehicles in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, in what is considered as the deadliest attack in the last 3 decades.

The citizens, celebrities, sports stars, political leaders paid tribute to our Jawans’ lives. Even top countries like Russia, US, Israel and neighbouring countries- Sri Lanka and Bangladesh condemned the dastardly attack. Now, the Indian security forces are taking revenge as they have neutralised two terrorists already.

 

Sudha Murty told ET that the society is forever indebted to their sacrifice in defence of the country.
