Narendra Modi will again become PM after 2019 elections, says Nitish Kumar

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, on Monday, is confident that the BJP-led NDA would once again come in power following Lok Sabha elections. He said that Narendra Modi will again become Prime Minister for the second consecutive term may what be the scenario.

“Whatever scenario we are visualizing today, Narendra Modi will again become Prime Minister. But the public is an ultimate master in democracy,” Nitish told reporters during his first ‘Lok Samvad’ programme in 2019.

When asked whether he still keeps up his previous statement issued in August 2017 that “there is no vacancy for PM post in 2019” after BJP’s loss in 3 states namely Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhatisgarh, Nitish argued as far as the elections results of the three states were concerned, BJP got just 0.4% less votes than Congress in Rajasthan, while in MP, the saffron party got 0.1% more vote than his rival party.

“It shows both the parties—BJP and Congress- got almost equal number of votes in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. In such a scenario I foresee that BJP-led NDA will again come in power after 2019 elections,” Nitish (also the JD(U) national president) said.
