As Hospital didn’t take care of Baby, this Police Officer Breastfed & won our hearts

It was a usual day for the police officer who by the name of Celeste Ayala was on duty at the Sor Maria Ludovica children’s hospital in Argentina. The officer came across a child crying constantly. Celeste, a police officer who is also a mother, realised that the baby was hungry.

She said, “I noticed that he was hungry, as he was putting his hand into his mouth, so I asked to hug him and breastfeed him. It was a sad moment, it broke my soul seeing him like this, society should be sensitive to the issues affecting children, it cannot keep happening.”

She figured out that the hospital staff was too busy at that time and she asked them for permission to hold and breastfeed the crying child which was suffering from discomfort and feeling hungry at the same time.

Marcos Heredia, a fellow police cop said that the hospital called the baby ‘dirty’. However, that didn’t make Celeste lose interest at all who took the baby in her lap and soon after that, the baby stopped crying. Marcos took a picture on her mobile phone of ‘Celeste breastfeeding the baby’ and put it online.

Marcos said, “I want to make public this great gesture of love you made today for this little baby who you did not know, but for who you did not hesitate to act like a mother. You did not care if he was dirty, which is what the hospital staff called him. Good job mate.”

The touching photo spread like wildfire on social media with more than 110K people sharing the post over and over again to highlight the message of humanity across the world. It has been learnt that the baby belonged to a family of six siblings raised by an unidentified mother who was in a tough situation.
