2.0 shatters Box office records, beats Padmaavat & Sanju to become *Highest Grosser* of 2018

Collecting a staggering Rs 600 crores at the worldwide box office, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 has outsmarted Sanju and Padmaavat to become the highest grosser of 2018.

Until now, Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Sanjay Dutt, was the biggest blockbuster of the year at the global box office and the movie bagged 586.85 crore. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, which starred Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone followed up next on the lost as it hinted Rs 585 crore at the global box office.

Beating records of both the movies, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 has hinted Rs 623 crore, according to a Times Now report.
