India and UAE to build underwater train from Mumbai to Dubai

In a sensational concept which will reinvent transportation to cut down the barriers of distance and time, UAE is now mapping out to build a revolutionary underwater train to Mumbai. It has been learnt that the overall rail network will be less than 2,000 km long.

Woaah! Just imagine how cool would that be? It would be a dream travelling experience. If this massive project works out fine, then the passengers will be able to travel from Fujairah to Mumbai underwater.

To respond to this significant concept, India will soon provide UAE with freshwater and oil via pipelines, National Advisor Bureau Limited managing director and chief consultant Abdulla Alshehhi said during the UAE-India Conclave in Abu Dhabi.

“This is a concept. We plan to connect Indian city of Mumbai with Fujairah through ultra-speed floating trains. The project aims to boost bilateral trade. There will be an export of oil to India from Fujairah port and import of excess water from Narmada River, north of Mumbai.

In addition, other GCC partners can also improve export and import,” he told at a gathering of businessmen and industry experts.

However, UAE is not the only one busy working on an underwater rail network project, China also has some advanced plans to connect to Russia, Canada, and the USA. The two cities of India- Mumbai and Ahmedabad will also be linked with a high-speed underwater train by the year 2022.
