However, the Supreme Court gave a final verdict that there will be not a complete ban on bursting crackers but instead has ordered the people to follow certain rules. Majority of the people expressed their frustration on social media regarding the restrictions of bursting crackers on festivals.
The supreme court in its strict order has stamped restrictions on the timings between which firecrackers can be burst on the occasion of festivals. As far as Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and other southern states, firecrackers can be burst from 4 am to 5 am and from 9 pm to 10 pm during Diwali as the total duration has been restricted to just two hours.
