Earlier, in the day, the Indian men’s team – Sawarn Singh, Dattu Bhokanal, Om Prakash and Sukhmeet Singh came through with flying colours as they clocked 6:17.13 to win the gold medal in men’s quadruple sculls.

What really makes it interesting is the Indian players’ ability to showcase their potential in Indonesia, a great determination shown by the players in all sporting events is something that will always remain in the fans’ hearts.

Our athletes are proving themselves as the best contenders in almost every competition with almost everyone battling it out to win medals. Every time, we come across the news saying India wins yet another gold. This is just enough to say that the nation’s sporting future is in great hands.

It’s not so easy to prove what you are capable of especially when you are away from India. But our players held their nerves and calmly went about their business and that’s how they got the better of the opponents with ease.
