PM Narendra Modi writes a letter to this B’wood actress – and he said…..

In the last three to four years, the vision of India has been changed and the world’s perception towards India is also changing. India is attaining a meteoric rise and its progress is well documented. PM Modi took India to the fifth place in terms of the world economy.

Mr. Modi has been trying to change the atmosphere around India and he is very much concerned about the society. He wants India to be seen as the next China in terms of economic opportunities as well as the mainstay of democracy. As India’s economy accelerates to good effect and PM Modi has been seeking a distinguished position for the nation in institutions that rule the world.

PM Narendra Modi writes a letter to Kajal Aggarwal:

PM Modi urged the actress Kajal Aggarwal to extend full support to the Centre’s initiatives Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) – a personal campaign that intends to create awareness and enhance the efficiency of welfare services for girls and National Nutrition Mission (NNM) for women and child development.

Kajal Aggrawal took to Twitter to encourage the initiatives like BBBP and NNM and extended her support for the women empowerment. “Dear Mr. Prime minister, @narendramodi Thank you for your very informative letter and the lovely women’s day wishes! I really appreciate the effective movements like BBBP and NNM and pledge my support in every way possible for the empowerment of women.”

PM Modi’s letter

“Greetings on International Women’s Day. We salute the indomitable spirit of our Nari Shakti. Women have distinguished themselves in multiple fields ranging from academic, industry and sports to community service among many others.

I am pleased to share that today, on International Women’s Day, the Government of India is launching a historic mass movement in the form of the National Nutrition Mission.

This Mission will work to reduce under-nutrition, anaemia (among young children, women and adolescent girls) and reduce low birth weight. It will also aim to reduce stunting in children below 5 years of age. Latest technology and best practices have been included in this Mission so that we can emerge victorious against the long-persisting menace of malnutrition…

The NNM is a part of the comprehensive approach of the Government of India to bring a qualitative change in the lives of women. Three years ago. the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ movement was launched to ensure protection and education of the girl child. This movement has always been extremely close to my heart and it gives me immense happiness to share with you that the results have been very encouraging. That is why, today we are extending the BBBP movement to the entire nation. Some of the measures taken for women empowerment will make you proud…

Today is a day to reiterate our commitment to further the spirit of equality and gender sensitivity in all walks of life. I urge you to extend your support to the NNM and the BBBP movement. Let us together, not only towards women’s development but also towards women-led development.

When our Naari Shakti is fully empowered, the dream of a New India will become a reality. (sic)”
