Karnataka’s CM Kumaraswamy, who is facing charges of corruption transfers an Honest Officer?

Just as when the people hoped that Karnataka will move forward towards peace, prosperity and progress under the new Government, they were dealt some sad news as the state Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy instructed transfer of first women DG-IGP of Karnataka Neelamani Raju on strict orders of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, because she made her walk few meters.

HD Kumaraswamy took oath as the state chief minister yesterday and the opposition heavyweights attended the ceremony to convey hearty wishes to him on taking charge as new CM. One among the opposition parties who turned up at Kumaraswamy’s oath ceremony was West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

She was absolutely livid and upset for having to walk amid heavy traffic. She further voiced her frustration about the traffic issues. She criticized DGP Neelamani Raju for being forced to walk a few metres to reach Vidhana Soudha, the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka. Mamata Banerjee took this issue to another level by telling this to HD Kumaraswamy.

The video of Mamatha Banerjee insulting the top cop Neelamani Raju has gone viral all over the internet. It is learnt that DGP Neelamani Raju was given in charge of escorting the guest to the dais. The top cop, as per instructions, directed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Due to heavy traffic and VIP cars parked all over the place, Neelamani Raju politely requested Mamata Banerjee to walk a few meters as her car was unable able to pass the traffic jam.

This video was captured by ANI and people reprimanded Mamata Banerjee for her arrogance for the DG-IGP. Neelamani Raju is the first women Director General and Inspector General of Police of Karnataka. The 57-year-old Neelamani Raju is highly regarded as very honest officer. She was recently promoted as the DG-IGP. It is cognisance of the fact that DGP is a very unique and dignified position in Karnataka and she is the top head of all police forces in Karnataka.

But West Bengal CM had not just insulted Karnataka’s DG-IGP but has also given strict orders to Chief Minister Kumaraswamy to transfer her, to which Kumaraswamy has agreed and passed orders to transfer the honest officer.
