Breaking News: HD Kumaraswamy takes charge as Karnataka chief minister

In a breaking news, HD Kumaraswamy took charge as Karnataka’s Chief Minister whereas the Congress leader Shri G Parameshwar took oath as Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister on Wednesday, 23 May. People sincerely hope that Karnataka will move forward towards peace, prosperity and progress under the new Government.

The ceremony was attended by opposition parties. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Sitaram Yechury among others graced the occasion to convey hearty wishes to HD Kumaraswamy on becoming the CM.

Banerjee addressed the reporters, “We are present here to support Kumaraswamy ji and his government and we hope for the best.” Banerjee further added saying that they will keep in touch with all the regional parties for the development of the nation and the people. “We will keep in touch with all the regional parties so that we can work for the development of the nation, development of the people and development of the federal set-up also,” the West Bengal chief minister added.

Mamata Banerjee believes that the future of the country is great given the fact that they can meet each other and discuss plans for the welfare of the nation. “Our mission and vision is very clear, that we can meet each other, we can talk to each other, and we can go to every state and talk to each other that will give us more strength for the future of the country.”

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu expressed his opinion as he said, “I met Mamata ji and we all have come here to witness the swearing-in ceremony of Kumaraswamy. He is from a regional party and we are very happy that he has become the Chief Minister of Karnataka,” he said. “We are expressing our solidarity, and in future we will work together to protect ourselves and to promote nation, that’s our agenda” he added.
