The famous personality, Bill Gates once said that, “if you are born poor, it’s not your mistake. But when you die poor, it’s your mistake.” This phrase has a deep meaning in it. There are many people who firmly got in the frame in their lives from downward curve to extreme highs through sheer hardwork, grit and determination.

Hailing from Hyderabad, Mohammed Siraj empathises with cricket to his lofty standards of craft and guile. His amazing journey is certainly an inspiration for many. Despite facing debacles at one end, Siraj was much focussed to better his workrate day by day and much to his exuberance, he did quite well in Ranji Trophy matches plying his trade for Hyderabad U-23 team when he finished as the leading wicket-taker for the team who picked 41 wickets.

His pinpoint accuracy in subtle bowling variations of line and length earned him a special place in Sunrisers Hyderabad when he was picked for 2.6 crore in what was the turning point in life. He shot into fame in IPL when he was named the man of the match against Gujarat Lions as his best bowling figures read 4/23.

After having been given the best of himself with a tinge of confidence, he got selected to represent the national team. He was selected for India T20I series against New Zealand. “It is a dream come true. Honestly, I was never expecting this call. I was always focussing on performing to the best of my ability every time I am given the chance,” Siraj told to Sportstar.
