From the Military hotbed to becoming the youngest director, the inspiring story of Umar Nisar

Considering how vulnerable the place is, Kashmiri locals have always been deprived of many things. But Umar Nisar, a 17-year-old from the military hotbeds of Tral-Awantipora area of South Kashmir, has gone through a lot of predicaments in his life, has become the youngest director and Radio jockey in their state and has turned an inspiration for Kashmiri youth. Whilst many teenagers are still trying to figure out what do in life, Umar has drawn a path and is showing a way for many other youngsters across the beautiful state of Kashmir. His father is a son of fruit vendor and watching his son reach such heights in life indeed must be a proud moment.

His journey from a contributor to a director has had many ups and downs, but has managed to commence ‘Pannun FM Digital Media & Broadcasting Network’, a Digital Media Network and radio station to encourage the young talents in his state. He has been contributing with 102.6 FM peshkadam prior to the launch of Pannum FM digital media and is now venturing a new initiative by the name .

‘The Mashq’, an open platform for all to showcase their talent in writing, photography, filmmaking, bloging or acting. The inaugural ceremony of this program was conducted at a local restaurant a little while ago and few famous dignitaries and Bollywood celebrities had extended their good wishes to the youngster. Few of these guests include actor Mir Sarwar and Creative Director Life OK Nasir Ali Khan, were the chief guests.

Umar said to “The Youth” that he wishes to see the youngsters from his Southern Kashmir valley to contribute to this event and explore their own talents in the process. “The main motive of this app is to boost the talent of youth in Kahmir, so that it can help them to move forward as per their skills” he said.

For his notable contributions to the society, he’s been receiving many accolades as well. He has been presented with the “CRDP Award” of the year for his achievement as an innovator, during an event held at the SKICC Srinagar on Sunday. In the presence of stars like Dangel girl Zaira waseem , Rayees Mohi ud Din , Waheed ur Rehman Parra & higher officials of State, he received the award and all these people gave their best wishes to the 17-year-old.

The CRDP award refers to  “Center for Research and Development Policy-CRDP”, which honors innovators , Journalists , entrepreneurs , Writers , Artists and others from around the Valley on the basis of their contribution. Its Director Peer GN Suhail had honored Umar and wished him all the luck for his future endeavors.

He also is aspiring to be a Bollywood star and his good looks can really play a big role in his pursuit, to go with the talent he is. He also started a production house by the name “I have a dream” films events production.

This indeed is a spectacular initiative from such a young brain, who is willing to something good for the society by motivating the future citizens of the place.
