This American lady is building homes, schools, roads in India

This lady deserves to say “I can change the world“. As she sacrificed everything for the betterment of the poor of India. She is doing what the local government is constitutionally bound to do. Nevertheless, they never care their pious duty.

35 year old Marta Vanduzer grew up in America. She was living in the city of New York. She ws raised in an environment of material luxury, which lacked the inner peace and happiness. Unsurprisingly, she never liked the glittering atmosphere of the city. Something must have been working deep inside her that she left her birth place and moved to India in 2012.

She arrived in India to visit but she ended up doing governmental works here. She started a project of building toilets at homes and schools of Raebareli and Amethi with her own money. She also Constructed a road for the people living in the cities and extended her helping hand in many other areas such as education, health care etc.

“Earlier, I’d wait till sunset to answer nature’s call. In the morning, I’d wait for others to return from the fields so I could go. Quite often, I had to miss school for this very reason. And I’m grown up now; so having a toilet in the house has become a must,” said a school going student Jyoti of a village where she built toilets.

The locals explained how hard it was to go out to answer nature’s call in an open surrounding. Especially during the rainy season as there is always a fear of snakes and wild animals. Several female students had to miss their school due to the very reason. But today they are expressing their extreme pleasure after getting a toilet inside their houses. Surprisingly, no government, no NGO, no politian built them but the American soul did.

Besides, the American soul ‘Marta’ has constructed a slow sand water filter so that the villagers could get purified potable water. The water was highly contaminated and presence of solid particles was above the danger level. She provided kids with toys and books to better their future. When she found out there was no access to power in the locality for decades, she provided electricity to the locals. Again repeating, She done all this with her own money.

“Some people assumed I flew from the USA to steal their property. Many claimed ‘do not trust Goras’, they will again loot the nation,” she giggled while recalling her moments with villagers. It took a long time to win their trust before initiating her philanthropic works. Today she is like a family member to these residents.

So far she has no plan to go back to her home country. As per reports, she wants to live here forever.
